Grind uncooked oats into a fine powder, premeasured at 1 cup. Massage your hands with this powder. Rinse hands after massaging and pat them dry. Apply a sparse layer of hand cream; then after two minutes reapply the hand cream. This is one of the most natural remedies for dry cracked hands.
Use white cotton gloves while doing routine housework. Wearing the gloves will reduce friction against skin. The cotton in the gloves helps collect the moisture as well as it helps the skin.
Add a small amount of soda bicarbonate in a bowl of warm water. Soak your hands for 10 minutes. Rinse hands completely, apply petroleum jelly.
