Prevention of Fungal Rashes
Person should let the skin dry carefully. He/she should avoid using heavily aromatic soap, which can be irritating to the skin. After bathing person should dry the skin well with a soft cloth.
Once the rash is heal then a person should use a barrier cream-containing petrolatum in order to prevent the rash from recurring. Person should also drink plenty of liquids to help keep skin supple. If there are skin folds in the area of the rash, then a soft cloth or cotton pad is placed between the folds to prevent moisture from accumulate in the area, which decreases the chances of developing skin infections.
Treatment of Fungal Rashes
Mostly antifungal treatment are applied over the infected area. Topical treatments and anti-fungal tablets are commonly available. The treatment of the rashes or the skin disorder depends upon the type of rashes.
Drugs, generally in very uncommon cases cause any side effects. A thin layer of anti-fungal cream is applied over the affected area until it is absorbed into the skin. It is rash area is moist then it is dust with an anti-fungal powder and surplus powder is brushed off.
